Texas native, Anastasia Osho, is a Christian & Contemporary Gospel Singer/Songwriter. She is passionate about inspiring people to have a closer relationship with Jesus Christ so that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9 KJV), but that all would come to the knowledge and understanding of God.
Anastasia uses music to convey the message that every person is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139: 14 KJV) and has a purpose beyond their imagination.
As a survivor of a turbulent childhood and a 2x cancer survivor, Anastasia has proven that the healing power of God still works in today’s godless society.
Music is Anastasia’s vehicle to relay the message of hope, healing, forgiveness and freedom in Christ Jesus.
Anastasia has been writing songs since childhood. At the age of 12, she pinned "Just Keep on Tryin'"; a song she wrote to encourage herself during difficult times in her life. She literally, "sang her way out of a depression".
Music became a powerful tool for Anastasia to communicate with God and uplift her spirit. Now, Anastasia writes songs to encourage others to find hope in Christ.
Her sound is considered Contemporary Gospel/ Inspirational and is a blend of pop, rock, and soul. Her writing style is influenced by Stevie Wonder, The Winans Family and 80’s pop music.
Her most recent project was a collaboration with Nigerian Gospel sensation, Kenny K'ore on her original song, "Holy Spirit Fall on Me". Anastasia wrote this song after experiencing a prolonged darkness in her life, following a series of tragic events that challenged her faith. She longed to return to the days when the Spirit fell fresh on her. It was in this spirit that the song she calls, “a repentance prayer” was pinned. "Holy Spirit Fall on Me" was awarded the "Honorable Mention Songwriting Award" in the Song of the Year Contest for 2014. The award winning Nigeria-based producer, Wilson Joel, produced the track.
Anastasia began her singing career while in attendance at Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. Though, she has been singing in church since the age of 7, Anastasia didn’t think of herself as a singer. God surrounded her with wonderful friends who encouraged her to explore her singing talent.
She has used her talent as a singer to serve as Praise and Worship leader for three different churches. In addition to this, she has ministered in Lagos, Ibadan and Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Now, Anastasia is looking to go deeper in her knowledge of God and Christ and to become a more effective minister of the Gospel. As a prophet once stated to her, “You’re not a singer. You’re a minister, who just so happens to sing.” Anastasia has always stated that “the message is more important than the music”. The music is only a vehicle into the souls of those who are listening.
Anastasia aspires to collaborate with local and international artist alike who are interested in spreading the message of Jesus Christ.
She now resides in the greater Houston area with her loving husband and wonderful son. Book Anastasia Osho today for your ministry needs or special event!
